The show Falling Out of Time is an adaptation of David Grossman's book The Spaces of the Tel Aviv Museum.

A combination of acting, a cappella singing, and visual images woven into each other, derived from our existential space, in order to succeed in elevating a bird out of the pain.

These are days when David Grossman's writing returns and resonates like a ray of light in the darkness.

The characters who embark on a journey with the audience are characters who have had their parent's identity taken away, and on the other hand, that of the absent present is more strongly present in their content. Their names were determined by their profession or occupation, which dictates the existence of each and every one of them. What exists and what does not exist creates them. The elderly teacher, the shoemaker, the midwife, the centaur, who is half-writer, half-desk, records the city's history, the woman who becomes the woman in the bell tower, and the man who walks. They all move towards the lost children in order to reach the longed-for moment, in which they receive a last chance to say goodbye to them, because they have not said goodbye. This is a journey of farewell by a parent from his child who is no longer there. This is a journey in which the parent frees the child who is no longer there, when he himself is asked, by life that is stronger than him, to continue living.

Rehearsals began in mid-August and the show was scheduled to be released in mid-November.

Then on 7.10.23 we all fell out of time. Our skin changed and became frayed, shrunken, and wrinkled with pain like the fabrics from which the costumes were sewn.

Iris Mualem, my creative partner, and I decided to leave the visual images as they were before October 7, 2023.
